I found out that it was the amount of NPC’s all congregating and talking at once, also the amount of clutter I had there, like ornaments, models, 105 perk mags, all the bobble heads and about 35 suits of power armor all on display, not to mention countless mannequin’s displaying apparel, I have since reduced this clutter and moved some NPC’s to other settlement’s, I also deleted a lot of unused save files, that were getting ridiculous large, I also disabled the auto save function “if you do this you must make a point of manually saving regularly “ and I have been overwriting my saves, I have the same problem, usually around the Boston area or when I fast travel to my main settlement “sanctuary hills”
